CURRENT POSITION

Working full-time for Casus Belli, a french webagency, as an art director.

I’m mostly focusing on designing user interfaces & user experiences but also have a feet deep in strategic planning, social medias and trend hunting. Because I’ve got a restless mind, that needs to be fed on a regular basis. (But not after midnight, and it certainly must not get wet either)

STRATEGIC DESIGN AND CONSULTING

I believe a good design is a design that serves a message and a purpose and that forms follow functions, but also it’s direct environment.

My job is to provide the best design, according to a wide number of factors, ranging from your brand strategy to the latest trends in a specific demographic.

. Trendsmaps and moodboards: I can help you reaching your target audience by outlining the latest trends in your field. Giving you a guidebook with references and visual help is an easy way to really grasp design concepts. With this document in hand, you’ll never feel lost again.

. Design counselling:  helping you finding the right way to a good design. Receiving nice layouts are one thing. Being explained word by word why it’ll work is better. I explain everything i make step-by-step. It takes more time but makes the design process quite pleasurable for everyone.

PITCHING

You’re a communication agency and you’re about to enter a new competition? You’ve got no in-house designers or they’re far too busy with their current projects?

I love pitches. Probably because the adrenalin rush is at it’s highest peek in those moments. Or maybe just because it’s fun. I work hand in hand with you to design the layout you need and make you a nice little package with lots of ribbons, complete identity documentation and all the explanations you need to convince your clients. Oh, and I’m even able to wear a suit if needed.

DOODLING AND PUSHING PIXELS AROUND

Finally, you won’t be surprised if I tell you I love to work on anything else that involves some strong visual skills. I love grids, types, pencils, photographs, drawing and making something nice out of nothing. My sweet dream life? Designing book covers.
