Are we so cliché?

Lacking imagination? A great way to find a designer’s company name in less than 3 seconds. (And oh, I’ll be back, someday, when my immune system will decide to allow me some rest.)

I wonder why, sometimes, you can’t help but design something you know is terribly ugly. Bad type, wrong colorscheme, stupid concept. But you can’t help, because the deadline is so tight and you’re stuck here, with something you don’t like. It feels terrible. 

Can you guess I had a bad day? Any suggestions for overcoming that kind of situation?
