Eye candy: record sleeves

Posted February 23rd, 2009 in Graphic Design & trends by Zélia

Record covers are often beautiful. Especially when they’re vintage. Especially when they’re not Italo Disco (you should check this for you musical culture, especially if you feel depressed.) Booooooom, a website that doesn’t care for it’s reader to remember the actual numer of “O”, features a beautiful selection of sleeves. Check it out, and enjoy the colourful pleasure of the vintage world!

Inspiration

Posted November 7th, 2008 in Everyday life, Just for fun by Zélia

Third week inspiration post.

I had a bit of a writer’s block this week, and that’s to say, even my weekly inspiration post may seem a little bland. But overcoming that kind of situations needs work. So, here we go…

1. Animated space invaders with crazy music and stupid plot. It scares me. For real!

2. Interactive Pong. You love 8-bit stuff going futuristic? Here we go!

3. Found in mom’s basement. Vintage advertising eye candy! An inspiring and funny blog at the same time = teh love!

4. The no asshole rule. This title made me laugh, I hope the content is as good as I expect.

5. Beautiful letterpress specimen sheet. Far too expensive, but would rock on top of my fireplace!!

6. Listening to Nosfell. He’s hot (Paris Hilton voice here) and I love how peculiar his songs are.

7. Cats, kitten, kitteh… Thanks to cuteoverload, I can free my inner squeaking girl watching kitteh videos. I’m a big fan of Maru. Watch this if you feel depressed.

And a special mention to:

• My hair, that I can for the first time in years, wear in pigtails. Yes, you probably don’t care. But for the story: I shaved my head to support Britney (Ahah, no. I just shaved for fun.) a year ago, and I’m growing them out. That sucks. A terribly painful experience.

• Monthy Python Flying Circus and Delhi Royal (Goodness Gracious Me): Thanks guys.

What about you, dear readers? Any inspiring finds this week?
I know you’re here, you can’t hide! I’ve got a google analytics, ya know!)
