Starting a blog post with an acronym is really funky. Once again, my selection-of-the-week is a frenchie: not that I am chauvinistic, but it seems that my fellow french designers are not that into talking about themselves overseas — and we have to promote things other than cheese and fries, haven’t we? I discovered Tom Henni via a charming production he made for a nearby poetry festival. He currently live in Lyon and seems pretty implicated in the graphic design life.
The entire set of flyers and posters are printed with mettalic gold ink finish, with a strong typographic work. Not only was this already beautiful, but on top of that, he made a collectible “gift” box, with a transprent gold mailer full of flyers and such. His whole work is really type oriented, and I think he’s very representative of French ontemporary graphic design. Take a look at his portfolio, and if you happen to pass by the small city of Caen, pay a visit at “la poésie nuit” festival, from 3 to 14th of March.
