Weekly resolutions

Hey everybody, it seems that I didn’t manage to keep my last post promise. Actually I’m sick again, with a terrible flue, a giant headache and a very sore throat. This winter has been a long and never-ending running nose/stupid sickness. Something to do with geeky lifestyle maybe??

Anyway… I have a lot of things I’d like to do this week:
. Get better. Ahah, time to drink some old plant remedies, green tea, and ue tiger balm. I really don’t like chemical medicines, and prefer to use grandma’s recipes.
. Got my appointment on  Tuesday to get my blood checked. I hope for the best.
. Release my new wordpress theme this week. I’m having so much fun  with css coding, I feel like a nerd.
. Going to the David laChapelle exhibition on Sunday. A week-end in Paris will do great on me! Exhbitions, books, shopping, and great restaurants. Yummy!
. Getting some sleep. I heard sleeping is the best of medicines, and it seems I lack some.
. Stop watching scray movies at night alone. Why on earth should I do this every time?? And why those movies has to happen in new orleans? And why can’t I resist? This is the great mistery of life my child.
Have a great week everyone!
See ya,
Zélia.

This has been a busy week, from mastering twitter basics to roaming through the sales with a flu (Bought a lot of undies, mind you).
Now, all I want to do is sleeping. But before that, I got some inspirationnal stuff to put in order.

. Flipping typical seems like a good tool to check fonts easily. I’m still waiting for a font explorer featuring a comparative chart like this.  (Via swismiss)
. Chase Lisbon did have a messy week with is Flick’r. He rocks anyway —  go an check the new version, but careful, this might not be safe for work.

Sophia loren

. Oh, Sophia, what did happen to your giant salad servers??
. Mac users are bisexuals with asian fetishes? Heck yeah! Via ProfessionalWidow.
. It’s amazing what people can do with bubbles: Bubbles drawings and frozen bubbles.
. The book cover archive features not only great book covers but also useful link about designers.
. Iphone users have too much nice wallpapers to use, and thanks to smashing magazine, they’ll have a load more. I’m craving…
. Apple keynote sucked.  So, I don’t care ahah!
. I just felt in love with Glasgow. I must go, it’s like the city is calling for me.

Great week,
And now, for something completely different:
Work.

Inspiration

Posted October 24th, 2008 in Architecture & Home, Design, Graphic Design & trends by Zélia

My weekly review of nice stuff.

Week-end is here already! The week in itself was good, and I saw plenty of exciting and inspiring stuff…

Desire to inspire really makes the best posts about home decoration. I always find their photos beautiful, and was particularly stunned by the work of Rachael Smith. Makes me day-dream about my future house…

Core 77 made a great article about a bicycle exhibition that took place in Eindhoven. I love bikes: the best way to dive through the traffic jam, cheap and fun. Plus, there are a load of beautiful bikes from beach cruisers to holland bikes.

Royal Pingdom released a visual history of eleven succesful blogs. Very interesting.

Design Boom featured a scrabble board made of Swarowski’s crystal. Glitters! Geez!

This is quite older, but I really loved those inspirationnal posters by Frank Chimero. (I’d really like one in my office :p

Smashing Magazine released a good load of photoshop actions. I especially love the lomo-makers, since developping the photos is getting more and more expensive. Too bad it’s not for real.

Roller Boogie free mp3 from Bounce/oz. Shake it baby! shake it some more!

Ok guyz, it’s lunchtime. I could write a lot about my co-workers activity (aka playing video-games and shouting out loud) but I care for their privacy. No, really.
